In order to consider the questions of each post, you must carefully observe the source. Make notes on any details you find interesting or strange. Then, ask yourself "how" and "why" questions based on the subject. Here's an example: How is the source trying to appeal to the audience? Why does it include x and not y?

In addition to looking at the details of the source itself, it is also valuable to consider the context of a source. For example, when viewing a commercial it may be pertinent to ask what time the commercial typically airs and on what channels or during what shows? Thinking about the context of a source may aid you in thinking about the source’s target audience (the audience it wants to appeal to).

Blogging relies on interaction and conversation. Each week, I ask that you respond to both a post and a comment from one of your classmates. You are encouraged to respond more than twice if you wish to do so.
